Being intentional about recognising good things in the world. Even if its pouring with rain, I make a point to feel grateful that the trees and plants are getting the water they need. If the sun is shining or I see a Robin, I make an intentional point to acknowledge it and hold that moment.
Its so easy to be negative but the world shifts when we start to look at it in a more positive and grateful way

I also consider what I can and can't control. Take ownership of your own choices and stop putting blame on others, for things that are actually within our control

Meditation, gardening, seeing a somatic therapist.

I went on a Pain Management Programme. It was really good.

Having a clean and tidy house. Especially the kitchen. I fucking hate cleaning but coming down to a clear house in the morning really sets my entire mood for the day. I also drink a couple beers of an evening and a fuck ton of water during the day.

cupfinalchaos · 28/11/2025 21:26

My dh.. also reconnected to some old friends.

Leaving my phone and tech downstairs when I go to bed so that I don’t doomscroll until late at night.
I’ve gone from getting 6 hours of sleep a night, to getting about 8.5hrs.

100 mg sertraline helps control the 100 mph thought patterns that anxiety brings.
Counselling which I'm grateful for as it's provided by volunteers in that profession through a local charity.

Velveletteslonleylonelygirlami · 28/11/2025 22:12

My own volunteering with NHS which I love doing.

Sound meditation (it has been transformative) and now using my SAD light again.

Actively using lists to keep on top of things. Accepting that I can't do everything, all at once and that one thing at a time and finishing it is OK.

Good enough is good enough.
