He says I am suffering from anxiety.

Already on ADs for depression, what is the difference? And what can I do about it.

Anxiety is often linked with depression - GPs will sometimes sign off for 'anxiety' as opposed to depression due to stigma,I believe.

Do you suffer from attacks of anxiousness as described so well in the post below?

Some anti depressants are particularly good at combatting depression that includes anxiousness. I think the bottom line is,if you are anxious to the point that it is manifesting itself physically then you are likely to be depressed,no?

I have had tightness of the chest and I do get tummy ache when stressed but I don't know if they are proper anxiety attacks.

He said I had anxiety when I told him I was worrying about someone I didn't even really know.

When I worry about anything I feel ill - tummy ache, head ache, butterflies. I tell myself I have been through worse and it usually helps a bit.

i found that understnading exactly why your body is feeling like this helped me. ie the fight or flight, all explained pretty well in the link I gave you - go on, have a read, its what my cbt course was based on.
