some forms of depression can manifest themselves in real mood swings - up one minute, life and soul the next. extreme forms can be bordering on Bipolar.

Do you know if she;s on any meds?

Meeely2 · 05/06/2008 16:44

sorry that made no sense! Down one minute, life and soul the next.

WigWamBam · 05/06/2008 16:44

Yes, it can. People often try and hide depression behind a smile - sometimes because they are embarrassed or feel ashamed, sometimes because they are trying to protect the people they love from the pain they feel themselves.

Sounds like me when I'm in my low ebb of my cycle.
I often 'act' how I think is expected.
It's a self-preservation thing. Hide what you're really thinking/feeling so you don't have to say/admit the truth.
