Flatness as a positive?

Name change for this.

I'm 45 and have a history of generalised anxiety and likely neurodivergence (although I'm not so sure of the latter now). I have done a huge amount of work on myself in the last 18 months, improved my diet, lost weight, reduced alcohol, had counselling. This has coincided with my only child moving out to Uni and my partner moved in last year so the demands on me are less than they were over the last few years.

I just feel so flat. Just before COVID I was on SSRIs for about 18 months, which helped but I didn't want to be on them long term. I kind of feel like the flatness I had on those. Does that mean that I'm so used to be so busy and so anxious that now I'm not I feel meh?

I know I'm prime age for perimenopause and my periods have gone a bit heavier with some proper mood swinging PMT just before, so that all tracks, but not this flatness the rest of the time. Can anyone relate or has any advice?

Maybe you need some excitement in your life? Maybe look for a new hobby?

You're totally right, and I do have a couple of hobbies which I enjoy, but they probably aren't too exciting! One of the issues I worked on in counselling was trying to do all of the things all of the time so I have tried to strip things back a bit. Maybe I have gone too far the other way.
