Could I please have a hand hold before tomorrow?

I have bi polar - pretty badly involving a LOT of sections under the MHA. Somehow I have managed to stay in employment and have been pretty stable for 18 months.

I'm slipping. I can hear conversations and yesterday I was at a railway station when some one brushed my coat as they walked behind me and then blew on the back of my neck. I looked behind me and I was less than a foot away from the wall.

I'm starting to get confused. I'm good at masking. The CMHT are setteing me tomorrow.

That sounds really frightening and it’s completely understandable that you’d want a bit of support right now. You’ve done an amazing job staying stable and in work despite everything you’ve been through, and recognising when things are slipping like this shows real strength and awareness.

You don’t have to face tonight on your own. If you start feeling more confused, unsafe, or like things are getting worse, it’s really important to reach out straight away. You can call your crisis team if you have their number, NHS 111 (press option 2), or if you ever feel like you can’t keep yourself safe, please go to A&E or call 999.

You’ve got the CMHT seeing you tomorrow, which is good, so for tonight try to keep things as calm and grounded as possible. Maybe stick to a safe, quiet environment, let someone you trust know you’re struggling, and do something that helps you feel a bit anchored whether that’s listening to something soothing, wrapping up in a blanket, or focusing on your breathing for a bit.

I also can't better this advice, what an amazing answer and piece of support.

Here to hand hold. You've recognised you need help, well done. It's not easy but you've done it.
