I'm prepaired to be flamed here as any state help is free at source so I know I should be grateful but..
I was waiting on a six month wait list for some specific MH support. I had to chase it up a few times as I wasn't even sure I was on the list - I has no confirmation at all of being on the list.
Anyway because I chased a few times I did eventually get to the top of the list. I had one meeting to introduce the key worker. One meeting to understand what I needed. One more meeting to arrange a plan to work too. Then I was discharged without warning.
So. I had meet the team. Made a plan of action and discharged before the plan even started. I was discharged via email. The plan was to work through things with my key worker. It wasn't here's a plan, do this as you will recover with thus plan. A bit like councilling. But where you meet the person. They ask you what you need. You tell them and you get discharged after your first councilling session with no prewarning.
I know its because there's no funding. But why not just up the bar for help and not take me on at all? Doing introductions then basically working a plan of working together is no help at all. In fact it's negative help. What a waste of money.
The councillor has invited me to unofficially keep her updated of my progress. Kind but we only planned one week ahead.
I'm not going to complain and I'm not angry. I'm just puzzled. It's so pointless. Doing 10 things to a shit standard is surely worse than doing five things well? Or is this just my disordered thinking? I was told the help wasn't open ended but it would take as long as it took to see some progress.
I made zero progress as we didn't get to the first task.
