I’m looking for self help options for anxiety. I am planning to visit the dr but looking for books, apps or websites that I can work through myself. I’m not always anxious but when i am I feel it physically in my chest. My logical head tells me I’m fine but my body does something else.

Lately triggers have been work (not all the time), travelling to go on holiday (but not when I’m away) and had a major anxious time when a passenger in a car during the snowy weather. I'm generally a positive person but I also know I'm a bit of a control freak too.
Thanks in advance.

I found the headspace app really helpful for anxiety - it’s essentially meditation for beginners so probably not for everyone and it’s quite expensive - but it did help me. I think you get a free trial at the beginning

Beating the Blues - it's an online CBT course you can do at your own pace.
Exercise - yoga, Tai Chi, walking etc
Diet - some food helps lessen anxiety such as bananas and oatmeal. A good, balanced diet is always beneficial.
Supplements - A good multivitamin, magnesium, Vitamin D, probiotic, omega 3
Alcohol and caffeine - reduce or cut it out
Mindfulness
Journaling

Therapy in a nutshell on YouTube
DARE anxiety book
ashwaghanda supplement
lithium orotate supplement
mindfulness meditation (there’s an app called insight timer which is really good)

All of these things have helped me.
