Has anyone else had the most debilitating anxiety symptoms, I hate it I've had so much help and still am but can't shift these symptoms I go through phases of it being up and down, but I can sit there and feel so weird and off and then I'll end up being so hyper aware of everything like my breathing, my body, any pains at all, and think the worst case scenario I end up feeling off balance and wobbly whenever I'm not feeling right, I get heart symptoms and all sorts it's just draining and puts me down so much. Just want to feel normal and be able to enjoy life with my kids and progress in my career! What's everyone symptoms of anxiety? I just always think there's something wrong with my brain and heart. I've heard magnesium can help, I just don't know what to try, I'm waiting for a ADHD assessment as the doctor thinks it could all link to this, with other symptoms too.

Also get light headedness a lot, or that weird "dropping feeling" chest pain now and then not often and chest feeling tight, honestly just draining!

You need to see a Dr and find out if there's anything physical such as a vitamin deficiency or thyroid problem contributing to your anxiety. You can ask about medication and beta blockers.

Magnesium glycinate helps with sleeping, Radox baths, exercise, vitamins such as vitamin D and change of diet can also help.

Other strategies are meditation and mindfulness. You can also practice breathing techniques.

I've had this for years now, I've been checked had ECG loads of blood tests and nothing is "wrong" I don't want anything like sertraline I do have propranolol but I had a baby in November and my blood pressure went all weird so had to have medication now so i have to wait to take my propranolol till I come off this medication for my blood pressure as they've said it's hopefully hormone related. The anxiety calmed down abit during pregnancy but now I've had him it's like it's coming back again, I'm going to start with all that stuff again like meditation etc, horrid how the brain works sometimes

It really does help! But I can't take them at the moment till I'm off my blood pressure medication

Can you identify what is triggering it? I had horrendous anxiety after moving to a toxic workplace. I was referred for CBT which helped but ultimately the thing that solved it was changing jobs - I definitely needed the CBT to get me in a position to do that though. The docs just wanted to put me on Sertraline but I couldn’t face it given I’d heard it makes you worse for 2 weeks before it gets better. Really hoping you find a solution.

I'm really struggling with anxiety and intrusive and paranoid thoughts. It's awful. Runing my life. I'm too scared to tell my GP as I'm a ft carer for my young autistic child.

same here - worst case scenario and catastrophising. I cannot tell what is grounded in some reality/truth and what is the latest my brain has invented to torture me.

it jumps from health anxiety, to work anxiety, to financial/tax anxiety - it never stops.

i ve got propranolol (old prescription) which i only take when i feel a full blown panic attack coming up, and a sertraline unopened prescription i am too scared to take (and have ordered some st john's wort tonight)

spoke to GP at the time of the prescription- their useful advice was to stop working / change job (ah ah) and to go for nature walks :/
