Is there such rehab?

Hello!

I'm sure I probably sound really silly now however I'm going to ask anyway.

I am struggling. So many different things have happened and I'm at rock bottom, not that anybody would know as I'm the one who holds everything and everybody together.

Is there such thing as a rehab for mental health. Where you can have counselling, therapy and just do wholesome things.

I've not got an addiction. I never ask for help but it's got bad now, everything's on top of me and I just need some time and space and help.

If you think I'm just feeling sorry for myself and having a bad day, I'm really not. Ok, well maybe a little. However I do have a lot of unresolved trauma, a recent (well not that recent, but not allowed myself time to grieve) very close bereavement and I just can't shut off.

In England, west mid area.

Thanks!

Nationwide Mental Health - Priory

Priory have lots of mental health services around the UK, including inpatient 'rehab' sites. All the best x

The rehab program in the Priory is for treating addictions so that doesn’t seem to be what the OP is looking for.
The Priory does have private general MH wards though so you could have an appointment with one of their psychiatrists to see whether inpatient treatment is recommended. It cost about £20k for 28 days when I was in there though so quite expensive unless you have private medical insurance to cover it.

Apologies, yes that is what I meant to link to!

Yes there are a few private rehabs that don’t just do addictions, do burnout and other stuff with therapy and yoga and so on.

psych wards- private or other- are not usually calm restorative places,

Unless you are very unwell ( eg deparate and almost or actually suicidal, " breakdown " etc ) a retreat may be better ?

but if you are at that deparate point, depending where you are, some areas have things like a crisis house - so somewhere to stay and be looked after/ supported for a short while, to get some space/ respite

for example/
www.the-retreat.org.uk/
www.maytree.org.uk/
www.maytree.org.uk/

maybe tru calling nhs 111 and asking for MH support or your local crisis team

hope you feel better soon xxx

@needtimeout so sorry you are feeling this way. I can relate with you and understand how difficult it can be. I have never ever tried it before but when I posted a few weeks back many people mentioned of doing a Buddhist retreat. I really want to do one, apparently they are life changing. With mental health unfortunately everyone will find a different cure that suits them whether that be exercise, reading, meditation, medication... it's just trying all the options to see what suits you best. Start with the natural remedies first!
