Help needed!! I've got so much anger in me and it's eating me up inside. I need some advice of ways to deal with it and/or be able to get rid of it.
It's getting to the point I wake up angry. Some days I can talk myself out of it quite easily but other days it just hard. My default is 0-100, from one extreme to the other, so I need advice to help channel it into a positive way. I work/read/exercise/spend etc so something different would be good please?

Commenting so that I can follow for tips!

Usually sewing or knitting works for me, as I have to concentrate so hard on it and control my hands tightly so it breaks the urge to lash out.

Not that I do ever lash out - just internally beat myself up….

I definitely need some better strategies!

As always, go back to the root cause. Were you raised in an angry household, or one that valued anger as a tool to get things done?

What are you actually angry about?

Visit GP and ask for help.

You obviously need to work on getting to the root of the anger. In the meantime can you take up boxercise or boxing? It's great exercise and gets out all that aggression. There are also rage rooms where you can take out your anger:

The anger can only truly be understood when you dig deep in to the 'why'. I'd suggest you find a good therapist.
Having an awareness that your anger negatively affects your life is a positive first step.
There's an interesting book called 'how to heal your inner child' by Simon Chappel that I woukd recommend. The audiobook is on Spotify if you have that.
