I need advice about my mental health

I have severe mental health issues which have become a disability. I have developed health issues because of it including IBS. I can’t work and my life is very limited. I am young and I haven’t ever worked. I get adult disability payment due to my mental health issues. I don’t go out and have no friends. I was originally given CBT which didn’t help. I made small habits and got myself out of a deep depression, but I am still very much mentally unwell. i was finally given mental health support, put in place by mental health social services for 3 month due to limited funds. It’s a worker that visits me and asks about my trauma which I find quite draining, and then they take me out of the house for an hour. After 3 months they will review if they think I can manage on my own or if I need further help. Is there anything I should be doing? TIA

Is this something you can ask your support worker about - she'll probably have a better idea of your specific difficulties and what would be helpful.

But having said that, are you on medication? Do you think that would be helpful?
You've said you don't go out, but how are you doing at taking care of yourself in the house? Do you manage to eat well? Do you have a hobby you enjoy, or could you start one, maybe some sort of craft? But this is what I mean about your support worker maybe being best placed to help because I've no idea if these suggestions are at all helpful to you specifically.

As someone who used to have really severe agoraphobia to the point of not going out, unfortunately really the only way past that is to go out. Even if it's just walk 10 seconds down the road, wait a bit, turn round and come home and do that every day until it's no longer an issue, and then extend it a bit. I have spent a lot of time in my life standing just inside my front door, opening it and closing it again trying to get myself to step out of it.

Sorry if none of that is helpful. But as a general point I'd say start small, just pick one thing you'd like to improve a little bit, and go from there.

I’m not on medication but want to start growing a herb garden next year to make my own tinctures and medicine. I’ve read about the side effects and damage to the liver that modern medicine does when on it long term. I use ibuprofen sparingly and only when in extreme pain from suspected endometriosis. For about 2 weeks of the month, I’m in two much pain to function or walk.
In 2023 I used to eat takeaways, ready made meals and snacks everyday. I now make my food at home and try to put more effort in so I enjoy what I eat and it’s sustainable. I have a varied diet
I read often. But I’m very tired and rarely feel I have the energy for a hobby. I cross stitch and sew, but I almost always never finish the projects I start. I feel very tired generally and unproductive, but I get myself dressed most days.
I have agoraphobia and practice exposure therapy on the days I’m not in pain. I have a place I can get to but it’s not very far and it’s for a limit time. I’m working on it with the anxiety worker.
