Hi again, I thought I’d start a new thread for this season of SAD 😭. It’s definitely starting to feel autumnal here 🥶.

If you’re new this year, please join us for tips to get through winter, chat and general moaning!

@EmeraldRoulette I honestly don’t know, it’s very strange! Safe to say they are not friends anymore and it’s made me feel a bit discombobulated since.

We were forecast nice weather last week but it ended up being cold, grey and windy 😭. At least it’s getting lighter in the mornings and evenings though!

So cold today, last week felt out we were over the worse.

I was abroad for a couple of days. A kind of emergency dash for my mental health.

The soul sapping grey seems to be undoing the benefit 😥. Older friends say winters have changed and are greyer and more depressing .

@lyingonthebeach hope you had a lovely time and got to lie on the beach!

We were saying today at work, just a hint of warmth in the air would be nice! Just some clue that spring is on its way 🙁.

Another grey day 😩. My energy, focus and motivation seem to have gone the same way as my spirits ⬇. I can't be bothered to even move.

@lyingonthebeach same here. It’s like the colour has been drained from the world 😭. There’s not even any sun in the forecast 😭😭. I’m done too.

Oh and also I’m sick to death of being cold!!! 🤬🤬🤬

How anyone can like it is beyond me.

@EmeraldRoulette Yeo, I have yet another all day Teams training day and I’m sat under a blanket, with my dog, the heating on and a hot brew and my fingers are still all raynauldsy 😭. It’s grey again but I can see a tiny speck of blue appearing at the back of the house 🤞.

We've just had about 20 minutes of sunshine. Just seeing it stream in through the window made a tangible difference to my mood. I hope you all got a blast of brightness, however small 🌞

It was a bit sunny but too cold to benefit

I had to go out in it and walk to meetings after getting off the train. Not a long distance but being out in the cold is exhausting and don't get me started on the irritation of runny nose and watering eyes.

I took a cab back from the station to avoid being stupidly cold again by walking home and I'm too tired to concentrate so just been on here. I think it's meant to be less bitter by Wednesday.

It’s bitterly cold here too, I’m so sick of being cold (I’ve probably already said that)! Tomorrow is meant to be double figures though… and raining 🙈. I am enjoying it still being (just about) light at half 5 though!

It's slightly warmer here but so grey, wet and windy. I feel so low and listless. I've got to plaster on a smile for a zoom meeting but I just want to cry and go back to bed 😭

It was hammering down this morning but OMG just as I got home from work and I took the dog out, the sun came out and I felt actual warmth! It was still really windy, but warmth!!

@Idratherbepaddleboarding Isn't it amazing that a few moments of warmth or blue sky can make such a noticeable difference? I say this to other people who really do not understand.

There is some - just some but I'll take it - sun forecast for next week so fingers crossed.

@lyingonthebeach yes it really is. Yesterday was gorgeous. Bright sunshine, blue skies and a little warmth in the air. Enough for a hoodie but no coat. We went to the beach with the dog and just hung out for ages. The dog chased his ball and DH flew his new drone while I synthesised some vitamin D 😂.

Today it’s back to being hideous. Grey, raining and blowing a gale 😡😭.

Up, down, up, down......................! we had two fairly bright days and at moments we could feel real warmth in the sun. I felt so much better, and more positive and had more energy.

Today is horrible, gloomy, rainy and my mood has hit the floor (actually, it's burrowing under the floor).

I hope you are all ok. More sun is forecast for the weekend and that thought is keeping me warm.

Rumours abound that it won't be freezing or raining from tomorrow. Exciting stuff!

We’ve had a few days of lovely sunshine but today has been all over the place, sunshine and rain. It’s beginning to feel slightly spring like though 🤞.

I've been too depressed to post lately, and I've name changed, but here we are. Daylight at 5pm and noticably lighter at lunchtime - the light levels are really picking up :)

@JazzyContemporaneousNotes what was your previous name? We’ve had so lovely, sunny days but today is freezing, foggy and grey 🙈.

@lyingonthebeach the sun came out about 2ish so the dog and I had a lovely 4pm walk on the field. It was warm enough for just a hoodie 🥰 (and jeans of course not literally just a hoodie 😂).

Another lovely sunny day 😎. I woke up naturally with sun streaming in to the room. I'm going to spend the whole day outside to get the maximum benefit. Let's hope this stays 🙏

Now I'mWondering where you are - I realise you might not want to say.

It's still bloody freezing here. There's probably about half an hour of the day where you wouldn't need a hat and gloves outside. I really do not do well with this prolonged cold. Good to have sun at the window, but I can't say it makes me want to get out more.

Sorry, I've bored you with this before, but I do errands on foot anyway. This is definitely not whether where I would add in extra walking for pleasure. I cannot wait for it to be warm. I am not convinced that the last two days have been the temperature that they said and we have had overnight frost.
