Hello. I’m struggling a little with the daily grind. Would anyone be willing to share their day to day routine? Eg what time you wake, eat, and sleep, what you eat, things you do to make the day easier/better? Looking for ideas that I could implement. Thank you x

Perhaps a bit atypical because im 34/40 with twins and on maternity leave at the moment.
Up approx 645, let dog out, tea on sofa. Daily gratitude journal.
Shower, change, small dog walk. Get on with jobs ready for babies. Pregnancy hasn't been easy so normally have an appt most days either for pregnancy or for my mental health.
Lunch 12:30ish. Little nap in afternoon. Another dog waddle then dinner. Bath and telly/book and then bed half 8/9.
If I'm feeling low - episode sex and city, candle on, new pyjamas, clean sheets, the good bath stuff, phone call with a friend.
It's hard and have def found my MH difficult to manage as pregnancy has progressed but tell myself it's easier than staying sick!

Re eating - consciously try and put good
Food it to myself esp if I don't feel like eating. So yesterday was home made granola and berries, a chickpea and avocado mint yoghurt salad and then sausage and mash with beautiful butchers sausages. Plus two cookies!

I got this idea from a YouTube channel called therapy in a nutshell and I've been using it for around a week now and it's actually been really helpful for my anxiety and low mood. So the idea behind it is how often do we "play" as adults? Children play every single day but as adults we seem to keep our play time to once a week or once a month or a few times per year etc. So make a list on your phone of things that are fun "play time" activities that you like. As an example on my list I have things like - reading, painting my nails, doing a jigsaw, adult colouring-in, doing a word search, blowing bubbles, give myself a hand/foot massage. Set a timer of 30-60 mins, put your phone down and don't touch it for this time period, turn the TV off and do these activities until the timer goes off - every single day.

If my children (9&10) interrupt I just pause the timer, deal with what they need and then turn the timer back on and go back to my activity. It will be easier to do it uninterrupted when they return to school next week. This might sound silly but it's really helping me.
