Fluoxetine withdrawal

I have had a hard time on fluoxetine so decided to reduce my dose. Whilst this decision was made, I became unwell with a stomach bug and was unable to take my pills at all and have therefore begun to withdraw. I'm now 10 days into a stomach illness and still feel awful. I'm starting to wonder if my prolonged symptoms aren't my stomach issues and are instead withdrawal side effects. I've had a stool sample taken at the gp so will find out soon ish. But I feel awful. I've got muscle aches, nausea, tiredness, no appetite.
I took a fluoxetine today to see if that helps but I'm not sure and feel lost

I had flu-like aches and headaches and stomach upset coming off fluoxetine. Do keep an eye on your emotions too, I was all over the place.

Twice I've come off them and back on again.

Also I had bouts of feeling very dizzy.

@GoodVibesHere thank you for your quick reply. I think the mixture of it and a stomach bug feels like a horrible mix. I do also feel really wobbly and anxious and actually a bit low so I do wonder if there's a link. I'll see what my GP says when I discuss my options

I've come off escitalopram and I'm the same! It's been 3 weeks. Acidy burps, no appetite, diarrhoea, migraine, exhaustion.

Also salvia just comes in my mouth and I'm roasting all the time.

Definitely chat with your dr about reducing the dose very slowly. The latest NICE guidelines set out a very slow reduction for Anti-depressants, but not all GPs are across the finer detail. Good luck!

I cut mine down very very slowly over a few years (am totally off them now, which is a huge achievement for me).

I never had any bad side effects from them and they worked almost straight away when I started taking them so they were brilliant for me.

No advice other than I hope you're OK.
