Anxiety and high blood pressure and coping

I’m suffering with anxiety. Had it before, all the butterflies and waking in the night. Got stressful stuff going on until summer. Hoping I’ll feel better after that, but I need to manage this and get through to then. What tips can you give me to cope please? I can’t feel like this until then.
I feel like I have brain fog… I know bp high and I’m seeing doc next week for that. For a check. But I know it’s still high. But I feel dreamy. Spaced out, brain fog? I don’t know what that feels like. Could be menopause too but I guess stress really.
I’ve just read about St John’s wort for anxiety. Does this help anyone?

My diet is good and I’m trying keep busy. I try walk every day etc. just feel so low but don’t really want to go on meds. Or should I think about it?

Is it possible to reduce/prioritise the stressful stuff? Anxiety is the emotion that tells us when things are too important to ignore; if you had no anxiety you wouldn't do anything because nothing would have any value to you.

Just because we are more likely to trigger an adrenaline response when we are at risk of becoming overwhelmed, that doesn’t mean we are then working at a higher level. We can potentially cope with many things at once but we don’t then excel at any of them. We work best when we can give complete uninterrupted focus to a single task. Once that task is finished, move on to the next. If a task can't be completed, defer it or hand it off to someone else.

We marvel at the skill of a juggler but the juggler only ever holds one ball at a time. However, there is a more serious potential negative effect of trying to be an expert juggler - the possibility of complete shutdown.

Just as a juggler might be comfortable juggling 3 balls at once, he might feel more challenged by 4. He might struggle with 5 and then when someone throws the sixth ball his way...he drops all of them. If we attempt to do multiple things at once we are always leaving ourselves vulnerable to reaching the point where there just seems too much to handle. We inevitably become
overwhelmed, shut down and drop everything.

Have you ever tried hypnosis? It sounds a bit wacky but if you can find some good hypnosis audios that can really help with your mind set. Listen before you go to sleep each night. I've had anxiety since I was a teenager and this has helped me a lot. I got into it when I did hypnobirthing when my kids were born.
