I really don’t know if this is related to my anxiety/stress or something completely unrelated
Nearly every afternoon recently I’ve been having issues with my mouth
teeth aching random ones or few at back in a row.
headache
and tongue feeling sore
This is having a toll on me , it makes me feel down and can’t seem to forget about it as it’s a horrible feeling

just wondering if anyone else has anything like this ??
im at the end of my tether with it
Im trying to not ruminate about things so I don’t feel anxious or stressed but easy said than done

Yes because I clench my jaw without realising when I'm stressed/anxious

Yes I clench my jaw without realising too

Yes because of jaw clenching and grinding my teeth. My dentist showed me my xray last week and my rear teeth are flat and I have to use a specialist toothpaste to help counter act this. I've tried a mouth guard but that doesn't help as I do it all day too.

It's a classic physical symptom of anxiety/stress. What's causing the anxiety in your life?

Hi OP. I suffer with stress and anxiety and I have bruxism (teeth grinding) at night time, and I also find myself clenching my jaw during the day.

This has started happening since I've been on antidepressants and there is some evidence for a link, so I don't know if that caused it (SSRI's like citalopram/ sertraline) Are you taking anything like that? If so, you might want to look at switching your meds.

Either way, you should go to your dentist. You might need a night time mouth guard to protect your teeth and reduce the pressure which causes headaches.

Sorry to hear you're going through this too, it's not fun. The other thing I find helps sometimes is giving myself a face massage - sounds weird but just where your jaw meets your skull (in front of your ears) - massage there in small circles and it can help reduce tension.

Yes, mostly due to teeth clenching. I have a guard to wear at night which protects my teeth to an extent but because I still do it, it still aches my jaw. Classic stress headaches too. Not sure what the answer is I'm afraid OP, certainly not without sounding trite about reducing your stress/anxiety, but do speak to your dentist about a mouth guard to protect your teeth if you can. I try and check in with myself during the day and make a conscious effort to drop my hunched shoulders and let my tongue rest in my mouth (it's usually stuck to the roof of my mouth and that makes it sore).

Aching teeth - tooth grinding at night.

Get yourself to a dentist for a mouthguard.

Yes I didn't know I did it but I got told I clench my jaw when stressed and headaches I hate them. But recently Dr gave me propanalol to bring stress level down when I feel the need and after several years of this problem I'm on my 3rd week headache sore and jaw free
