How to help friend's grandson

I have a friend who's 22 year old grandson has been exhibiting serious MH issues for abut 3 years now.
He lives with his mother, who he believes is poisoning him.
He is frightened to leave the house and has not done so for 2 months. He goes for days without eating.
He has delusions and believes he has special gifts and can talk to spirits.
He has dropped his friends and girlfriend as they bring "negative energy".
He believes his grandparents have also been poisoning him and refuses to speak to them.
He did speak to a private psychiatrist via video call but denied he had any issues. It is not clear whether the GP received a report from the psychiatrist.
He refused to co-operate with paramedics who attended recently at the request of his mother and they took no action.
He will not go to see the GP.
He says he wants to die.
He is not aggressive and appears to be more a danger to himself.

With my assistance the mother sent an email to the GP, who has refused to help on numerous occasions, asking for a MH referral/assessment, in her capacity as nearest relative. Apparently the GP phoned in response and said he would make a referral. Since then the mother has spoken to the MHT who say they will not be taking any action.
The family are besides themselves with worry. They are not English born and I am struggling to understand the chronology etc as they struggle with English, in writing and verbally, when they are distressed. I wonder if the GP has struggled to understand them in the past and my email made things clearer.
I want to help more but realise the GP etc are not going to speak to me or allow me to advocate for the family as I am only a friend.
Is there any organisation they could approach who could advocate for them?
Failing that, is there any private firm who specialise in sending psychiatric nurses etc into the community to visit people who are vulnerable, have no insight into their condition and refuse to engage with the usual channels? They live in East Anglia.
TIA for any help/information you can give.

If you google crisis team think they have a team in every area. Yep Drs don’t do much at all and your friend may be worth changing dr surgery some do care about their patients. Sounds like son has some form of schizophrenia.

Thank you. I think it is the crisis team who are refusing to respond. Changing the GP is a good call.
