ADHA - My partners doctor has suddenly stopped his adhd tablets as he didn’t attend an appointment he didn’t know anything about

I am desperate for some advice. After a year and a half of waiting to be medicated for adhd (was diagnosed 3 years ago but his mother passed away so didn’t follow up straight away) my partner was finally medicated with Elvanse. He had been taking the medication for 6 months now and it has completely changed his life for the good. He has been on a two monthly review with the promise each time that soon he will be able to get a repeat prescription without the review. 2 days ago he contacted the lady that he usually deals with via email stating that he is running out of tablets only to be informed the they have taken him off the program as he hasn’t attended his review. Apparently he had verbally aggressive to an appointment and they have sent one letter that he hasn’t received. Now one of the issues with adhd is that he is terrible at being organised. Unfortunately the tablets do not take that away. So he now has no tablets and has to start the whole process again. There is no one to talk to and it’s sounds like a flat out no, and tuff luck. He had to wait 4 months before he can even get an appointment to start again. We do not know where to turn but this is AWFUL for his mental health. I don’t understand why they didn’t send another letter or try to call. I appreciate they are inundated but it just seams so unfair to be struck off so suddenly. Please can someone advise us on what to do we are desperate

thank you

So he was previously verbally aggressive to staff?

I'd check with the surgery if they have the correct number for him. Mine texts me reminders from the surgery itself and NHS-NoReply. Our surgery also has an online app where I can see appointments.

Verbally agreeing is no help anyway. How do they expect him to remember that information with a disorder that makes remembering things hard? I would suggest he complains.
