Anxiety all the time - what helps?

I have had anxiety for as long as I remember. I’ve tried different medications, CBT and counselling but nothing seems to help.

What can I try to help it?

Right now, I can’t stop thinking about something i said to someone. I’ve put my foot in it and now I feel awful. I keep thinking about is it better to ignore it and hope it’s forgotten about or at least never mentioned again? Or acknowledge it by sending another message and say sorry for putting my foot in it? But then I’ll be so embarrassed. I can’t stop thinking about it 😢😢😢😢😢😢

Sometimes you get so used to being anxious that it becomes natural and a self fulfilling prophecy. Have a look at this video on the subject;

I'm bad atm with it. I downloaded a few apps called Dare and Calm. They help me relax a bit. Anxiety is the pits.

That is a very useful ted talk- thanks.

OP as the video explains we are anxious when something matters and is important to us. So it's right to listen to your anxiety because whether you have hurt someone's feelings or not is important and worthy of consideration.
But you can carefully consider if it's really worth worrying about using your logical brain. Are you being especially sensitive for some reason? Are you likely still to be concerned about this in a weeks time?
Do you often worry about social scenarios and how often have these worries been shown to be useful and how often a waste of energy?
