There's no reason to freak out. If there was anything serious wrong, you would have been contacted already and if there's anything else wrong (e.g. low iron - this is only an example as I'm not a medical professional!) you'll be contacted soon.

I know it's tempting to log in and look at test results like this, but if you're not a medical professional and don't know how to interpret them it really can be more worrying than it's worth.

Pregnancy can bring out all sorts of anxieties and emotions and it would be worth talking to your midwife about it, it's nothing they won't have seen before and there is support that can be put in place to make this easier for you.

Your HB is only very slightly on the low side

And your WCC is only just mildly raised ...you might be recovering from something.

White blood cells are only slightly higher than the normal range, I wouldn’t worry about that at all. Your immune system is a lot more sensitive in pregnancy, so can be normal for it to go up slightly.

Yes you are anaemic, but only very very mildly. They’ll probably give you some iron tablets and that will sort that. It’s actually pretty normal to get a bit anaemic in pregnancy, your body has 50% more circulating volume in pregnancy than it does outside of pregnancy.

All looks very sort out able, I wouldn’t overly worry. Perhaps get a decent pregnancy vitamin to keep yourself topped up on the other bits.

Congratulations on your pregnancy!

White blood count can be high post infection, like a cold. That might be all it is.

Thank you guys for the responses, it's hard not being able to talk to your dr. Ny anxiety has definitely got a hold on me. All i could think about was blood cancer. Darn anxiety

Thank you for the response! I kept wondering if they'd call me on a weekend.

Blood cancer would show all sorts of serious derangement. Honestly, they really would have contacted you as it would have been picked up at the lab.

If it’s routine bloods by the midwife, then they’ll probably be checking them next time they’re in. Other midwives don’t always check other peoples caseloads results.

White blood cell counts are significant elevated in pregnancy. That is well within the normal pregnancy range. Depending on how pregnant you are the RBC and HB are possibly normal as well (although HB is borderline).

Pregnancy reference ranges are different than non pregnant reference ranges and labs report results using non pregnant ranges
