..I feel quite good.

My counsellor welled up when she was saying how proud of me she was and how far I'd gone etc.. Which I took as a bit of a compliment and thought it showed she actually meant it, which was lovely.. unless of course, they do that to everyone

Ah well done MOH

Good for you - I'm sure she meant it.

That's a counsellor's reward, btw - they are in it to help people move onwards and upwards in their lives, not for the £.

Mascara - I got 10 sessions on the NHS 4 years ago.

Actually, I think short courses of therapy are, for many (not all) people, a good thing - it means you actually get a move on, rather than wallowing.

Mascara - I used to be a Counsellor before children and I can assure you that they do not 'well up' with everyone. I remember having feelings about my favourite client's progress which I can only equate with the pride I feel about my children's achievements. I like to think I was a good therapist to all my clients but human nature is such that it is impossible not to have your favourites. I don't mean that to sound patronising but it is so wonderful to see someone come out the other side through their own dedication and hard work. Congratulations.

If you need help go and see your GP to refer you through the NHS.

I had very bad PND, and got nearly 2 years, once a week for and hour. Helped a lot.
