OP are you involved with a community mental health team? I’m assuming so or that you may have been at some point to have received that diagnosis?

Came across this post on a search as I'm currently seeing someone with EUPD and it's been a rocky road! Can I please ask what DBT is, and is there any medication that won't turn you into an emotionless zombie? Thanks

helpyhelperton · 13/04/2023 09:30

DBT is a type of therapy / you can buy lots of books on it.

The right medication does not zombify - though it can take years to find the right one. Everyone is individual and I think the key is a very good psychiatrist who understands the condition.

And tonnes of patience and love - I know how hard that is - good luck to you and talk on here for advice.

DBT for sure

@Elle2018 Just be a bit careful what you say about medication turning people into ‘emotionless zombies’. I am sure your partner wouldn’t feel good about knowing he/she was being referred to like that.

Elle2018 · 14/04/2023 13:44

@Dogsarebetterthanhumans that's how he described himself to me.
