Self comparison to other mums

Just asking as I can’t be the only one. I have an 18 month old and regularly go to the toddler clubs/ events in my area. I chat to other mums etc. But like me, does anyone else feel like despite chatting about similar issues we have, I still feel isolated and lonely in motherhood? That I have struggles that I feel no one can relate to even though I KNOW they are having the exact same issues? you always feel like the other mum must be doing parenting better than you, juggling life better etc Is it just me? Do I need better self esteem?

This is meant to be light hearted btw. I’m doing fine and don’t need therapy before anyone suggests! Just a tired mum that feels like everyone has their shit together but me!

I am pregnant and already comparing myself to how badly I have coped with pregnancy in comparison to other women who glow/ who’ve just done pregnancy better than me.

I’d love to be the mum whose child always has beautiful matching clean clothes and only eats home made organic snacks. Who plays nicely in the groups and who is always smiling etc. I’d also love to also have my make up, nails and hair always on point and be back in my size 8 cream jeans.

I am very aware already this won’t be the case and I’ll be constantly comparing 😂

I do think lowering expectations is probably what’s needed 😂 although I’m not the ‘put together mum’ I did manage to fit back into my pre pregnancy jeans so that’s something I suppose…

Mothering is so so hard and never ending 😭 without worrying about if you look like a supermodel whilst doing it
