Has anyone had any experience of this anti depressant? I have been taking them for about 2 weeks (after being taken off sertraline and mitazapine because they weren't helping) and they don't seem to be doing anything. I have also completely lost my appetite and eat once a day usually and as soon as I eat I get hot flushes and feel sick so it is hard to make myself eat when I am fine not eating but when I do I feel awful. Has anyone taken it and got on well? Should I keep going or should I actually take advantage of the fact that it's a good time of year to not over eat and I could do with loosing a few lbs. Thanks

This is just my experience and I don’t want to make I stop taking them. I tried them for two years and they didn’t help me but I couldn’t come off them. They are an awful drug to stop taking and it has taken me months of taking tiny nibbles of the drug to be able to get through the day. It’s take. 6 weeks of no tablets for the brain zaps and dizziness to stop.
I didn’t have any side effects when taking them and I took 75mg up to 150mg

i wish I hadn’t pursued them

xx

They worked for me but I also had horrific withdrawals and it took me 2 years to come off them because of the horrendous brain zaps. I wouldn't touch them again with a barge pole.

Saved my life but took 6 weeks before they made any difference.

Eek the thought of the withdrawal is a bit scary but at the moment I think I have to hope the benefits (eventually) outweigh that, especially as I am in it now.

@marrymeadam hi can I ask if they are now helping?

marrymeadam · 30/12/2022 10:14

Hi, I'm not sure. I don't feel much better but Christmas is a weird time isn't it. I have also now lost more than a stone since starting them

I would def review with GP. It isn’t a miracle drug so it’s not with it if it isn’t helping and it’s causing weight loss.
it’s just my experience, but I would quit now before your body is dependant on it. As it isn’t having much of an impact.

can u try a diff one? I know fluoxetine or sertraline are one they often transition u onto from this if your not allergic or on other meds obviously x
