I thought people might like a positive thread.

i flew for the first time in 3 years recently. I can't say I looked forward to it and I can't say I enjoyed it but I coped!

I have found asking for ice-cubes useful for years. Sympathetic stewards were also a big plus. And this flight's discovery was writing - writing by hand. During the bit of the trip I particularly struggle with, I got out pen and paper and wrote down some thoughts about a different issue. It was really involving, in a way that trying to read, etc, isn't.

I had some diazamine prescribed but didn't use it - it was very comforting to know it was there.

I'm going backwards with lifts after recently getting stuck in one (my son couldn't believe it happened to me of all people) but you can't solve everything at once.

Well done! That is amazing how you managed, and I hope you are proud of yourself.Smile

I recently pushed through my phobia too (needle) to get a blood test.
