Hi all
I just need to vent. I'm 44 diagnosed
My youngest age 12 is also diagnosed autistic and other learning difficulties. He's currently going through puberty and I'm peri menopausal. As you can imagine it's tough at the moment and his mental health has got severe. Nothing is helping no therapy, support etc it's just getting worse. I'm struggling to cope with him and my own mental health is now suffering. Are any of you going through this and can offer support and chats in this thread. I can't stop crying. I've been stimming and pulling at my hair and made it so thin again. My husband is supportive but works long hours and sometimes trying to offload to him is like pulling teeth. I just feel heartbroken and like a failure with my son. He has PDA type autism his demand avoidance is huge issue. He says such hurtful things. School are being supportive amazingly and he currently has an amazing TA who is going above and beyond for him. It's just hard.
X😥

I'm so sorry you are struggling. I'm afraid I don't have any advice but didn't want to ignore your post. It sounds really tough.

I really hope someone else will be able to offer you some real support.

I didn't want to leave your thread without commenting, I'm sorry things are so hard for you right now.

You said you wanted to vent, but is there anything you would like advice or suggestions for? Just venting can be cathartic.
