Anyone use them? Do they work? I say I'm going to try one every winter but never actually get around to purchasing one. I definitely suffer with SAD and now the dark nights are drawing in I can feel my mood beginning to change. Are they worth a try?

I’ve considered a SAD lamp but whenever I’ve looked they are really expensive and I’m not sure I trust cheap lights/bulb options to be a) safe or b) useful.
I thought sada U.K. would have some recommendations but they don’t so I’m watching with interest to see if anyone recommends one. I already have to get up at 5:30am for work though and it says to use a.m by sitting 50 cm away for 30 mins to 1 hr, I’m not sure I’d manage that tbh.

I bought one years ago. It didn't help me so now it's just my night light.

Thanks both, sounds like it might be a waste of money. I'll have a look at the link and have a think about it.

I do. I start using it beginning of September.

Sitting in front of it now as it happens.

I do believe it helps me.

You have to sit really close to it (like the length of your hand away) and make sure the light gets to your eyes without you looking directly at it to benefit. You can't just have it on in the room.

I also have daylight bulbs in every room instead of the normal yellowish ones and that makes a difference too.
