Having a hard time like many people at the minute.

Work is making everything worse. I have worked for them for over 10 years. Recently had new management and the whole dynamic has changed. They are making everything harder childcare wise and refusing to do certain elements of their job making work load so much more. Spoke to higher up who has been understanding but just said everyone works differently.

There is a lot more to it than all this but don't want to ramble and be outing. I feel I'm not coping and often breaking down into tears between meetings. I'm also worried if I do go on the sick they will try and get rid of me.

It would be hard to find another part time job in my field so just looking for another job isn't a quick easy option and until recently I enjoyed my job.

Do you have a HR person? You say you spoke to higher up, I’d follow that up with an email so you have proof that you’ve spoken to them. If it is affecting you so much then it is better to speak to the GP sooner rather than later, even if you don’t immediately go off, at least it is then all on record.
I once went off with work related stress for 3 months due to bullying. When I got to the point I was driving into work hoping for someone to crash into me, and cause me enough injuries so that I didn’t have to go to work for a while, I knew I couldn’t go on. When I went back I was on antidepressants, so stronger, but I still couldn’t deal with the bullying issue and, thankfully, found another job.
Its so horrible being so stressed in work when we spend so much of our lives there, I hope things work out and you feel more yourself soon Flowers

Secondly, an employer has a legal obligation to ensure the health, safety and welfare of its employees. As part of this, an employer must conduct risk assessments for work-related stress and take actions to prevent staff from experiencing a stress-related illness because of their work.
