Hi
Research shows that a woman's birth experience can have a range of effects on their mental health and wellbeing. Within non-maternal populations, there are strong links between mental health and alcohol use. But the possible link between wellbeing and alcohol use in mums hasn't received much attention.
We are looking for volunteers, aged 18 years and over to take part in an online survey about maternal alcohol use, health, and wellbeing.
We need mums who fulfil the following criteria:
a) aged 18 years or over
b) fluent English speaker
c) currently living in the UK
d) not currently pregnant
e) have experienced any form of childbirth and have at least one dependent child. In this instance, we define this as a child under the age of 18 years living in your home, full time.
We want to hear from as many women as possible, regardless of birth experience, drinking habits, or mental health.
The survey will take about 10-20 minutes of your time. You will be asked about your alcohol use, mental health and wellbeing, and birth experience.
