Help I’m finding it really hard to go on. Just want a way out that looks like an accident. No one else to talk to.

I'm so sorry you are struggling. I know how hard it is. Are you on your own just now? Do you have a friend or family you could talk to? Or please can you call samaritans. I am happy to talk. Please feel free to message me. Don't give up, things can and will get better xx

SandysMam · 02/04/2022 08:16

What’s going on to make you feel like this Op? Getting it out might help.
Try to do something nice for yourself today, watch a friends or a Big Bang theory or something cheerful. I love watching ASMR videos on YouTube, my favourite is Jocie B, she is really relaxing.

NdefH81 · 02/04/2022 08:17

Do you have children?

Yorkshirebornandbread · 02/04/2022 08:21

Thank you for replying. I’m just at home with my cats. Won’t do anything stupid, just want to so much xx

Do you have family nearby, kids. You can get through this, sometimes writing things down can help, even if yiu don’t post everything.

Billybagpuss · 02/04/2022 08:22

Do you have a garden? Getting outside can really help too

Yorkshirebornandbread · 02/04/2022 08:24

What sort of things do you enjoy doing, or did enjoy when you were younger?

curevaids · 02/04/2022 08:53

Sorry to hear that. Have you tried meditation? Meditation is about learning to change your brain waves to slower ones. With more of those brain waves we feel calmer and happier.

Perhaps the easiest method to notice this is to focus on the air below the nostrils. Feel the air. It can take some practise but sooner or later you feel a shift in brain waves.

Haveatakeaway · 02/04/2022 09:18

I'm here and have plenty of time to listen if you want to talk. I'm so so sorry you're feeling this way Flowers

Yorkshirebornandbread · 02/04/2022 09:30

So hard to see a way forward. A situation I can’t do anything about, been through it before, I can’t bear going through it again.

OP posts:
Yorkshirebornandbread · 02/04/2022 09:33

Having to pick up the pieces again, emotionally and financially.

You survived it before, you can survive it again, no matter how hideous it is for you. Whatever it is, you can face it. Get whatever support you need around you and face it. I think suicidal thoughts function precisely for the reasons you feel so much despair, because we don't believe we can tolerate the pain. But you can OP.

Look up Eckhart Tolle. He was homeless and found out the bliss in meditation when he was living on the street.

Often we think different circumstances must change, like money, job etc for us to be happy but we always have that bliss within that we can connect to.

Serotonin, Dopamin etc does not matter either when we connect to that spiritual dimension through changing our brain waves in meditation.

Samaritans really are excellent - if you do not feel there is anyone you can talk to in real life, they will listen: 116123. They helped me so much. Do not hesitate to ring them.

DawnMumsnet · 02/04/2022 13:10

Hi Yorkshirebornandbread,

We're so sorry you're feeling this way.

We can see that you've already been given a lot of good advice and support from other Mumsnetters, but we just wanted to add some links to organisations which may be able to give you some help in real life too.

First of all, here's a link to our Mental Health resources. There are many organisations listed which can provide you with some support. If you're feeling very low, you can contact the Samaritans, any time, by emailing [email protected] or by calling 116 123.

You can also get help from a new text service called Shout 85258. Its trained volunteers are available all hours of the day and night to listen and support you to get to a calmer and safe place. Shout is a free, confidential, anonymous service for anyone in the UK and it won’t appear on your phone bill.

And finally, here's a link to Mind's pages on Tips for everyday living and How to improve your mental wellbeing.

Sending good wishes, OP. We really hope you're okay. Flowers

Haveatakeaway · 02/04/2022 15:47

Are you ok @Yorkshirebornandbread thinking of you and sending strength

Yorkshirebornandbread · 02/04/2022 17:27

Thank you to each and everyone of you, for all your messages of support. I’m feeling much better now and will look at all the links and tips you’ve sent me xx

So glad to hear you're feeling better. Sometimes it's so much easier to speak anonymously to people, please know theres always a listening ear here. you sound strong Flowers

Haveatakeaway · 03/04/2022 21:01

Been thinking about you @Yorkshirebornandbread. I hope you've had as peaceful a day as possible.

Yorkshirebornandbread · 04/04/2022 17:13

Thank you @haveatakeaway, I think the situation got to me as I had no control over it, whereas over this I would have control, if that makes sense!

Hi OP
Just to let you know your not alone.
I suffer with anxiety and depression. Having a really bad spell atm. I can relate to you when you say I've been here before and cant do it again. I feel like that right now. Bizarrely at the beginning of February I was thinking how well I was doing. We will get through it though. Sending love. X

Tainging99 · 04/04/2022 17:44

Hi OP, life can truly feel awful and overwhelming sometimes. If you are feeling like you can’t continue then local crisis teams can be accessed through nhs 111, option 2 and also speak to your GP. Try and hold onto the fact that this overwhelming feeling will pass but you need support to help you.

Yorkshirebornandbread · 06/04/2022 20:18

A big thank you again for all your support, and sorry to everyone going through the same feelings of despair. I tell myself that this too will pass xx

Please Help I am forced to go into debts
The HM Revenue and Customs is waiting for me to pay them back £2000 of child tax credit between 2020 and 2021as my husband refused to update his earnings just because he is punishing me for the tax credit going into my account.
I didn't work that time due to depression, and he didn't earn the amount they said because he was and still a student. All the HMRC is asking is for him to get in touch and give some proofs, we have been given 3 months till May then they will pass the case to the bailiffs.
Please what should I do?
