health anxiety - handhold needed

Just hoping for a handhold.
Since Covid started I've found my health anxiety has been up and down. I've had a bereavement in the family and we've had a lot of uncertainty around the funeral, which is in two days' time - while we don't now need to worry about restrictions on numbers, I find I both want to go to support the rest of the family but I'm terrified that I'll spread Covid if I do.
I've been taking daily LFTs since DC went back to school - all negative. I've had the booster jab and am not in a high risk category. However, I also have symptoms which I'm sure are more consistent with anxiety than Covid (heart racing, stomach upset, inability to relax/sleep but also really tired, can't stop crying) . I've barely been anywhere but so terrified by all the media reports that I keep questioning myself.
Would really appreciate a handhold while I talk myself down, thanks.

Hi op media reports of what please? The media reports are all saying how Covid is very mild. Somewhere between a cold and a flu. And as I’m currently positive I can confirm in my case this is true. We are pretty much at the end of the pandemic.

Have you spoken to your doctor about your anxiety? I think this is the route forward, you need some help.

Thanks @Bluntness100 - I think the media reports of whether or not LFTs are reliable and how effective or not the vaccines are seem to be the biggest things making me anxious. I've never been especially worried about what would happen to me if I got it, but I'm so scared of spreading it - I get very anxious before any events that might mean I transmit something to more vulnerable people.
I did speak to my GP a while back who sent me for blood tests in case of perimenopause, but nothing happened after that and it's next to impossible to get appointments at my local surgery.

You should be able to get an over the phone appointment and a prescription.
I had bloods for peri and got prescribed citalopram without actually asking for it or wanting it- but that’s a whole other thread!
Ring your G.P back, I doubt they’ll ask to see you again unless you have any other conditions. Flowers
You are very unlikely to spread it, unless symptomatic and your so anxious about it that I imagine you would isolate immediately if you had symptoms. Omicron is mild. Most people are vaccinated.
