Depression in pregnancy

I'm currently 30 Weeks pregnant and I'm struggling so so bad with my mental health, my partner doesn't seem to bothered about me and just says "your over exaggerating". I've spoken to my doctors and there just as useless they told me it's common during pregnancy. I just don't feel supported anywhere! Just wondering if anyone else has suffered😔 I'm 20 years old and am nervous about being a first time young mum as it is.

I was depressed during my second pregnancy. It's a horrible feeling. Go back to your doctor or try to find another one if you're not comfortable and make sure you are flagged for extra help & attention after the birth.
If you have any family or others to keep an eye on you let them know too.
Good luck with your pregnancy and know that some times just keeping on keeping on is good enough.

Please speak to your midwife, she will be able to signpost you to support in your local area, I’m sorry your GP wasn’t very supportive, I hope your MW can help. There are some links & numbers in the below link. I hope things improve for you soon Flowers

I had ante natal counselling arranged by my GP and it really, really helped.

I unloaded everything once a week and felt so much better.

It's actually very common to be depressed in pregnancy.

You poor thing. Is your diet full of nutritious food as this plays such a big part, as does gut health? (So pre/ probiotics and a home cooked diet ideally to include fish , etc really helpful.
I once read of a link between a shortage of omega something or other and depression and it’s especially important when pregnant as the baby depletes our own supplies of healthy fats etc to develop). If you take supplements make sure they’re pregnancy friendly, I’ve just been eating sardines and herring regularly.

I hope you can get reassurance too as you’ll be an amazing mum and bring so much to it I’m sure but you don’t need a useless partner! - is he usually this unhelpful? Your body’s been adjusting to amazing change and he should appreciate you need lots of support and kindness at such a vulnerable time
