Is anyone else in the same boat? I'm on PIP and ESA (support group) for mainly mental health but also physical problems as well.

I's like to try some work but only part time to start with...I know there is a form about doing 'supported work' with ESA but worry that if I tried it it would trigger them reassessing me and taking me off it all.

It doesn't feel designed to support people who may be only able to work part time.

I just wondered if anyone had done this and how it has gone. I noticed in my report for ESA it says about task completion so guess that if was to try even a small amount of work paid or voluntary it would be used as 'evidence' I didn't meet that criteria anymore.

There’s some info here on permitted work when on ESA if you scroll down. DH did it for a while (it was too much) it didn’t trigger reassessment or loss of benefits, he also gets PIP btw.
It’s less than 16 hours and up to £143 a week, I don’t recall him having a work coach or filling a form in though but I’m sure he was told it was only for a year but I may be confusing that with something else.

Thanks. Wonder how you find one of these support workers.
