When I wake up in the morning I'll check my heart rate on my watch and it'll say 84 but as soon as I'm fully awake and alert and get out of bed it's like 115. It's really worrying me :(

Whybare you worried? Of course your heart rate will go up once you are out of bed and active

dementedpixie · 07/06/2021 08:16

Why are *

Moxxi · 07/06/2021 08:19

@dementedpixie doesn't it seem a bit high?

Average resting heart rate is between 60 and 100 bpm so when you get out of bed and are active you are no longer resting so it will go up

WhoWants2Know · 07/06/2021 08:24

Some people just run a bit faster than others. My heart rate is usually over 100 at rest, and much faster when moving.

If there are no other symptoms, it's nothing to worry about.

Moxxi · 07/06/2021 08:28

I don't have symptoms but won't my heart tire out? I'm terrified x

Your heart will definitely not tire out. I run long distances and mine will be up at 140 for hours and be fine.

dementedpixie · 07/06/2021 08:34

Don't be ridiculous
Your heart won't tire out from working
If you want a lower heart rate you could do some exercise as it's a muscle and needs to be worked out to keep it healthy

dementedpixie · 07/06/2021 08:37

I did a combat workout on Thursday and my heart rate went over 180bpm! My resting heart rate is around 60 (just under sometimes). It is good to get it pumping and exercise helps lower your resting heart rate

You are posting about this daily....it's obsessive and unhealthy. Your heart rate is at the high end of healthy but is not a cause for concern - as both medical professionals and Mumsnetters have repeatedly told you.

Read up on OCD and put your fitbit in the bin, is my advice.

Or have a look here about health anxiety:

And speak to your GP
