Is this normal for just sitting down on the sofa? It worries me :(

A normal resting heart rate ranges between 60-100 bpm so your's is well within range OP.

Your heart rate is the number of times your heart beats per minute (bpm). A normal heart rate is between 60 and 100 bpm while you're resting.

I've heard that before I'm just worried because it's 110 when I'm doing housework or cooking. Isn't it best to be like 60? How can I work on lowering? X

Regular exercise can lower your HR. Top athletes can have a resting rate as low as 40

LIZS · 05/06/2021 16:36

Looks ok. Drinking lots of water can help reduce it but some medications can make it higher.

Moxxi · 05/06/2021 16:39

I'm taking beta blockers to help reduce it. Hoping to stop them once I've started a decent exercise routine. Any idea what exercise I should do? I have been walking 3k everyday but it isn't enough I don't think. :(

Mine is 80-100, its fine. To be honest it also comes down really quickly, so even after a couple of weeks of cardio exercise you will notice an improvement. Upping your steps eg. 4.5k, 6k, 7.5k gradually. The NHS Couch to 5k is brilliant too, I got loads fitter on that.

Op.
The problem is that you aren't 'just sitting down on the sofa'. You are extremely anxious.
I've been there OP. Completely convinced I had cardio problems. It scary.
Your rhr is fine under the circumstances. As is your oxygen.
