Do you ever get fed up of overthinking

Just that really. I constantly overthink everything and it's exhausting. For once I just want to be carefree and not try and overthink everything. I've always been a bit of a worrier but I found myself more and more researching, weighing up pros and cons and then the what if this happens kicks in.... Anyone else feel like this ? I just want to stop over analysing everything. Any tips?

I feel for you, it does sound exhausting.
Is there any way you could write down the pros and cons of a situation and then fold the paper in half and “pack it away” as it were? It might feel like you have analysed a situation, done all the work on it, and then put it to one side as a job done?

Do you know why you might do this? It’s very common but sometimes digging deep to discover why you might do it, might help. Is it that you want to be certain that you are always making the right decision? Is there a fear that if something does not go well there could be consequences? What can be achieved by overthinking something?
Bless you 🌺

I think I’m quite healthy mentally.......until I have not enough to do. There have been a few times this year whenI haven’t had much on. It’s been horrific. I massively overthink if I’m not too busy to do so, and it ends up making me feel physically ill and so unhappy. So..... I always end up taking on ridiculous amounts of work. For me, it’s worth it. Having too much free time results in me overanalysing and becoming miserable.

Yes, I do. I found CBT helped because I catch myself ruminating now and am able, with practise, to recognise what it is and that it doesn;t help, and move on more quickly.
