Dealing with sensory overload as a mum?

Hi everyone, I’ve never been diagnosed but my children have ASD/ADHD and one has learning disabilities, I’m pretty sure however I’ve got some form of undiagnosed ASD/ADHD and have had since childhood, I was under CAMHS a lot for my “issues” back then.

I really really struggle with sensory overload, recently I’m finding it harder and harder to deal with too much noise, or too many people talking to me at once. I feel like I can’t cope when that happens and I want to run and hide. As you can imagine with 2 teenagers with ASD/adhd/and a learning disability it’s not easy to get away from too much overload - especially as my DD asks the same 100 questions over and over all day. I do tend to zone out which causes frustration for her, especially as hyper focusing is one of my big traits too, I get super hyper focused and zone out totally.

I’m wondering if any other parents here have any tips for dealing with it a bit better? It’s definitely heightened during lockdown because they’ve been around 24/7 with no respite. Thanks all :)
