Sertraline - how to know whether to increase dose

On 50mg sertraline, not the first time. I was having terrible physical symptoms prior to starting which have now stopped almost entirely. My doctor asked about increasing dose. How on earth do you know? I have no idea what normal feels like as I've lived with anxiety all my life. I'm also autistic so it's probably par for the course? I wouldn't say I'm not anxious.. could I feel better? I don't know? How did you know whether to increase?

I'm on 100mg and my understanding is that 100mg is the typical therapeutic dose. It's definitely helped my depression and anxiety significantly.

Thank you. Any other thoughts anybody?

So now the symptoms are creeping back and feel on edge and off balance. So frustrating as I had the opportunity to speak to the doctor last week. Nightmare to get hold of. Should I try upping the dose to 100 while I try to get hold of my doctor? It seems a bit extreme but then I can't stand the idea of losing control again.

So if anyone is still reading this.. I increased to 100 pretty much just after I posted. Which has been much better for me.
I was told to refer myself to iapt or whatever it is on my first appointment and of course didn't want to disappoint so I tried. It asked all these questions. I was honest so obviously they freaked out, I freaked out, I cancelled my appointment and haven't spoken to my doctor since.
Today when renewing my prescription it was a different doctor so he asked if I'm ok.
This is why I end up running away from reviews etc and stopping my medication, I find it so stressful and intrusive.
Does anyone relate.
I hope this is the end of the questions

The joke of it is I wouldn't tell them how I generally feel because they wouldn't understand and I don't think they have anything helpful in their belts.
Poor GPs. I get it. They're not MH services and those are too overstretched

Yes I really do relate, I have a review tomorrow and I'm worried about it too. It's understandable I think.
