I read about it online, sounds very good for anxiety.
But its very expensive.

Has anyone tried it?

Lots of reviews on Amazon that confirm my first suspicions - it's a scam.

Basically there's a LOT of information on how to combat anxiety - almost too much - the problem is that every person with anxiety needs their own course on how to combat it. The information is there to guide you whether it be from a book, a video, or a 1 to 1 meeting with a counsellor, but at the end of the day, it's up to you to figure out which bits work and which don't.

So you will get some people who do the Linden thing and find it works. You'll also get a lot who do it and find it doesn't. It's no different really to any other method - there is no golden method, and anyone who claims as such is lying.

What I can tell you works for many is stopping thinking about whatever makes you anxious! It's like if you have a scab and you keep picking at the scab, the wound will keep bleeding and rescabbing and it will never heal.

How you divert your mind on the other hand - well have a look at guides on quitting smoking because it's the same techniques required.

Diverting my mind is a good idea, I just don't know if I can.

The linden method seems very good but very expensive and I might be losing my job soon so really can't afford it.

Of course you can! You just need a plan and a little belief!

As I said take a look at the techniques ex-smokers use to banish nicotine cravings and use the same techniques to banish cravings to think about whatever your anxious about.

Just as the first thing a smoker needs to do in order to quit, is recognise that cigarettes are bad for them. The first thing you need to do is recognise the thoughts that feed your anxiety.

Thanks. I'll try to get my head round this way of thinking. Thats a different way of treating anxiety, I haven't seen it before. Its health anxiety i have, its all consuming when I have itm

A CBT course would tell you the same - to stop feeding the anxiety. Maybe not the smoking analogy but it's the same technique.
Good luck. I know how awful anxiety can be but you CAN beat it. It needn't rule your life.

I had CBT, but it didn't work for me.
I'm currently having counselling through my gp.
Thanks.
