Propanol related?

Just asking for others experiences I guess.

I have been taking Paroxetine 60mg for three years due to depression & it works wonderfully. I have a history of bouts of panic attacks (both when my children were born lasting about a year each time). Panic attacks would include dizziness, limb tingling, headaches etc. I've never sought medication for them before as I recognised what they were, spoke with my GP & worked myself through them with mindfulness etc.

However during the last few months they've returned (no pregnancy, new children etc) & I believe they're related to lockdown etc. GP prescribed propanol 40mg up to 3 times a day. The few times I have taken it I feel like I'm restless, I can't sleep & just can't settle. Different from how my panic attacks present. Not being able to get to sleep & staying awake for 24h is a nightmare with children & working.

Has anybody else experienced similar?

Sorry this turned into a ramble! Blush

Yes propnaolol can make it hard to get to sleep and cause nightmares. Read your information leaflet it is definitely listed on there. I have this prescribed but rarely take it for this reason.

Propranolol calms me soooo much, I cannot recognise what you are describing, for me it is completely the opposite. If I am restless and and have propranolol, it just calms me so much.
I wouldn't say they give me nightmares, but I can remember all my dreams when I have it whereas I hardly ever remember anything without medication.

Propranolol impacts me sleep so now I only take them in the morning which has helped
