Have you been able to talk to anyone about how you feel? If you haven't already, it sounds like it could be worth speaking to your GP. Its easier said than done but just try keep distracting yourself, and doing the things you know are good for you (eg showering) whenever you can manage. Try to recognise each little thing as an achievement, rather than being down you didn't do more. And remember that even if it feels like this won't pass, it most likely will. But above all, speak to someone. Virtual hugs to you, its not an easy place to be!

@hakunamatata91 ,very kind of you to say such words.I have spoken to my hubby a lot of times about my mental health ,the only solution he finds it that I should keep myself more engaged throught the day ,which I dont find to be helful.

How old are you?

Please ring for a doctor appointment. You can be referred for therapy, given medication if necessary.
Distraction techniques can be great when you're feeling down, but you sound like you are actually depressed so you need more help than that.
And it's important to ask for it.

How long have you felt this way? The main thing that helped me was to give myself very small tasks. Achieving goals, no matter how small they are, really helps my mood. I started with very basic things, like empty the sink, hoover the floor, brush my teeth, shower etc. Some days I couldn't manage much but whatever I did, I made sure I recognised that I had done it. The more I did, the better I felt, but I had to build up slowly.

Over time I managed to add more structure and routine into my day and into my life. It's a work in progress. I still have bad days. I have been writing a lot down too, like a journal. I write down goals and to do lists, or sometimes I will just write about how I'm feeling. I read encouraging books and articles to help keep me on track. I try to get outside at least once per day for a walk, no matter how short it is. I'm currently mostly working on making sure I eat more regularly, which in turn is helping me to sleep better and making me feel better. I take some supplements and try to have a skincare routine. Small things that I can easily do, even on a bad day, that help me feel like I'm taking care of myself.
