How about these? All of these have worked for me at some point in my life or another. They don't deal with the underlying cause, but they do deal with what's happening in the moment:

Hold on to something, and remind yourself that you are here, now, in your body.

Tell yourself this as much as you need to hear it, and tell yourself that the anxiety is a response to something that isn't real - and that, in fact, it has already happened.

Remember to breathe properly.

Jump up and down and shake your body to remind yourself that you have one.

Watch something funny; focus on something other that you.

If you can find a cool spot outside, lie on the grass under a tree. Close your eyes, listen to and feel all the sounds and sensations around you and in your body, and then after a few minutes, open them and look up into the tree.

I find this very hot weather worsens my mood. Try and stay cool. I have been watching comedy dvds and it's true laughter is the best medicine. I hope you start to feel better and realise you're not alone.
