I’m currently working from home due to the current situation and when I think of things moving on and having to go back to work...that is when the anxiety and apprehension kicks in...
I know my (oldest) daughter feels the same but I’ll post separately about that..with more details.
Everyone else I talk with want it over with......but I’m enjoying the peace and being left alone.
Is this normal?

Is normal.

Thanks ejey...the thought of normal scares me...having to deal with work people face to face...driving...life....just easier in my bubble....

I’m enjoying it too and so is ds. You aren’t not alone. I’m missing my partner like crazy however but I guess I also like my own company, I don’t need other people to feel occupied. Plus my anxiety sky rocketed when I went to the pharmacy so that may have had something to do with it. I do fear though the longer I’m in the harder it is going to be to go out.

Some people suit a life of hustle and bustle. Others thrive on working from home and a quieter pace of life. It's normal to be either type of person.

Was your pre pandemic lifestyle very stressful? Or very busy with not much time out? Did you have a miserable commute? Or perhaps your workplace wasn't a comfortable working environment? If that's part of it, do you think your employer might allow you to continue working from home longer-term?

If it's more an anxiety around Covid that's normal too. It's extraordinary times, a global pandemic. It would be less normal to pretend everything was ok. And perhaps your home feels like the only safe place?

It's true the saying about us humans being pretty adaptable. Just as you've adapted to being at home, so will you adapt to going out again. The first time's always the worse. It's a little bit like going back to school after the summer holidays or a long period of sickness. Once you're back out there you'll soon get used to it again. Remember loads of us will be in the same boat. We're all be getting used to it again together.
