Weaning off setraline?

Have anyone recently weaned off setraline? I've just had enough of the side effects from it. Yes it has helped my anxiety and constant over thinking and helped my low mood but I've been on it 6 months and feel I would cope without it now.
The initials side effects with diahorrea, bloatedness were terrible and took about 2 months to settle down. But it's the light headed feeling, tiredness and fog that's getting to me. I cannot think straight and constantly want to sleep. I'm struggling getting through the day trying to focus and remember things. Pre setraline i was a really sharp person now i feel im a sleepy mess.
Just want advice from anyone who weaned off these meds and how it's been for you??
Thanks

What dosage are you on OP?

Only on 25mgs. It was effective but i m fed up with the side effects now. Could sleep standing up and feeling like fog all the time.
I didn't take my tablet on Thursday and could believe that I wasn't falling asleep on the couch. Also Friday at work I felt like i was able to concentrate and work better.
I think.ill only take my tablet every 2nd day no w and see how I get on.

That's a very low dose. 25mg is usually prescribed to children under 12. The usual dose for adults is 50mg (increasing time 200mg if required).

If you're finding that you have long lasting, debilitating side effects from such a small dose then this medication is definitely not for you. There are plenty of others you could try though, it's trial and error.

Don't stop or cut down on your medication without speaking to your GP first, this can do more harm than good. That said, at such a low dosage you can't really cut down any further than to switch from daily to every second day and that's probably the advise they will give you but make sure to speak to them first. They can also recommend an alternative for you to try.

I don’t think you’re on a high enough dose to have those side effects. Do you take propranolol or any other beta blocker as well? I’m on 100mg of setraline and it makes me sweat excessively but that’s better than the physical anxiety. I found I was incredibly tired when on a high dosage of a beta blocker and this made me extremely tired 24/7. I couldn’t get through a day without napping.
