Struggling to cope

I have never spoke to a doctor before and at the moment I don't want to either, I don't want this on my records.

I have struggled for a long time with general anxiety and periods of low mood which I manage as best I can and it doesn't impact on my day to day life too much and I always do what I can to resolve it such as self care and time out.

I am going through a highly stressful situation at present to do with a court appearance soon and due to start a new job in the first week of January, my young child aged 4 is displaying challenging behaviour at present.

I'm starting to feel really panicky and not coping well which is unusual for me because I can normally handle it but I feel ready to top over the edge and I'm very tearful.

My DP is also Very stressed but we are trying to support each other as best we can.

Any advice on how to stop feeling so panicky using home remedies etc

Bumping this for you. Sorry I have no idea about home remedies but someone will hopefully come along shortly Smile

Have you ever taken any Bach Flower rescue remedy from Holland and Barrett, Boots , Superdrug? That might help you.

Lavender essential oil is good for calming people down.

If you drink caffeinated drinks, try to switch to decaff after 2pm, or better still cut out caffeine altogether. Too much sugar can also make people hyper and jittery as well.

Try drinking chamomile tea at night, that is calming. Bananas are also good for anxiety.
If you are stressed it drains b vitamins, so getting a good multivitamin is very beneficial.

Exercise can help with anxiety. Gentle things like yoga and Pilates. You can follow YouTube videos.Meditation is good for anxiety too.

You might want to see if you can get some counselling if you are overwhelmed by everything, you sound like you have a lot on your plate.

Do you have family and friends to support you?
