Titania, really sorry you are having such a hard time at the moment. FWIW I think you've done the right thing to cancel. You will all have a much more relaxed, enjoyable celebration without them.

Caribbeanqueen · 24/09/2004 20:15

Hi Titania, sorry I had to rush off earlier. Sorry you are feeling down at the moment. I think you did the right thing to cancel the tea, you don't need any extra stress on top of everything else.

Please don't give up though. Things will get better.

do you know why the other woman got the house?

TraceyP · 24/09/2004 20:43

Titania, I can't really say anything much to help but I can offer sympathy. I'm so sorry you're feeling so bad. Please don't give up, things can only get better. Thinking of you and hope you feel brighter soon.

MUMINAMILLION · 24/09/2004 20:52

Titania, same as TracyP. Dont have any advice, just to let you know how much I sympathise, and hope things get better for you. Dont give up, things have a way of working out eventually.

Hi Titania, sorry I didn't see this earlier so I could talk to you when you were on Mumsnet. How long have you been in your flat? With three children, don't you have some sort of priority? Is there a number you could ring and ask where you are on the housing list? I don't suppose this is helping much, but I find if I have something I can do, even if it doesn't get me anywhere in the long run, I feel better doing it.
This is going to sound really silly, but try to look at the positive things in your life now: you are getting on really well with dh, dd is having a birthday - that's a great thing to celebrate (and yes, without the in-laws would be better!). How is ds doing at school?
Don't despair. The worst times are often just before it gets much better.
BIG HUG from Lonelymum
