Olanzapine not working

Hi,
ExDH started Olanzapine for severe paranoid delusions. Think world world conspiracy against him, people tracking him, listening to him, phones bugged everything. He was manic over the summer, pacing the house etc. It was extreme.
He's now living with his mother and has been given Olanzapine for the last month. The dosage was doubled by the Psychiatrist on Thursday as the delusions are worsening. Its only the second appt they have had.

The thing is I just dont see how the tablets will ever work because of the large amount of weed he smokes all day every day. Its a LOT.
He told the doctor he smoked it and the doctor did not tell him to stop. I just dont understand how the two will not cancel each other out ?

Has he a diagnosis of bipolar? Has he been admitted to hospital with mania or depression? I have such a diagnosis and am on 400mg of Quetiapine, 150 lamotragine, (mood stabilser and anti-psychotic, I can't remember which is which) and an SSRI anti-depressant. It may be that he might need to take another medication as well as the quetiapine

@TheSilveryPussycat do you have any side effects at 400? I'm on 100 a day and don't see any noticeable change

I have quite severe muscle twitching when lying in bed before l go to sleep, which is a known side effect of either lamotragine or quetiapine - I did look it up but can't remember which. If l forget my night time meds (Q and L) I can't get to sleep.

When I first went on them (at 100mg I think) I felt to woozy to drive to work the next day, and my psychiatrist reduced them. In those days they acted on me in almost exactly 30mins, and then put me to sleep, which was at first weird, and ten strangely reassuring.
