Help - advice on prescriptions requested by email

Not sure if anyone can relate to this but I had a moment earlier when I realised how desperately I need to be back on an AD. As soon as I woke up to how depressed I've become I called my GP's surgery and asked to be seen urgently, but the receptionist advised me to make an email request for Sertraline. (I've had it before, but not for a while.) As soon as I got off the phone I emailed explaining everything, and how vulnerable I'm feeling. They know me pretty well and I don't think they'll object to
prescribing it for me, but does anyone have any idea how long this procedure usually takes? All I have to go on is that when I told her I'd prefer not to wait 48 hrs for a prescription, she advised me to go the email route.

I want to get back on them today if at all possible. I know they take a while to kick in properly but just to know I've started will make me feel much safer.

Panic over. Called the surgery 45 mins ago and they'd already processed my request. Just collected the tablets and taken one, on my way home to hibernate.
