Sertraline

I've just started sertraline a few days ago and feel like the Gp didn't really tell me any side effects or pros and cons. I was desperate so just took what was offered. I've felt a bit spaced out and very tired since I started taking it. I've really messed things up at work and signed off for two weeks.

I had a similar situation...ahat's done is done. Focus on a good recovery over next two weeks. You may feel you don't need sertraline.

It takes 2 weeks to settle, try not to look for side effects, just try and ride it out. I think being signed off is a good idea.

It changed my life when it kicked in. I was on it for 6 months for PND, came off it without issue and haven't looked back.

The start is the hard bit but keep going

Haven’t taken sertraline but have taken Citalopram, which made me feel very strange for the first few weeks, and then much better. Rest and take it easy on yourself. Don’t think @liveandbreathe has given very good advice, I’m afraid. Anti-Ds can make you feel better quickly but won’t have any lasting positive effect if you stop taking them straight away the positive effects will disappear very quickly.

Read the leaflet that comes with the tablets for the side effects. They soundcard but they have to list every possible one. Doesn't mean you will get them or even any at all.
My GP told me there weren't any with my ADs but there were lots.

Sound awful, I meant....
