Sertraline side effects and driving

Just started 50mg sertraline yesterday
( took it last night) and am feeling shaky and nauseous this morning. Although I’ve been signed off work and DH is driving DS2 to and from school today and tomorrow, I will really have to start this again from Monday, as it impacts on his job. The problem is that a lot of my anxiety revolves around driving anyway and if I feel sick and shaky that’s going to make it even worse! I’ve read that side effects can last weeks - any experiences of them only lasting a few days?

Hi there, am nearly 3 weeks into taking sertraline and the first week was awful, lots of anxiety, queasiness, feeling of dread, feeling flat etc. By the end of the first week I felt a bit better and then the past 2 weeks have seen an increase in better days for me. Today I felt like my old self!
So yes, the first few days you might feel very odd. I took them in the morning after the first couple of days of taking them at night and they did make me feel tired late morning but not drowsy where I couldn't drive.
I think you'll worry about driving anyway but maybe do the journey with your husband in the car tomorrow so you know you can do it. Go out on the weekend and you drive with him in the car to show it's nothing to worry about but have reassurance.

Thank you - can I ask if taking it in the morning has made a difference? I’m currently taking it with my evening meal.
